Daniel A. Terner is a partner with Solkoff Legal, P.A. practicing in the area of special needs planning, long-term care planning and giving better access to quality of life for his elderly and disabled clients.

Dan joined the firm of Solkoff Legal, P.A. as an associate attorney in 2001, having practiced since 1998 in the area of Social Security disability claims. Prior to joining the firm, Dan served as the coordinator of both the adult and children’s Social Security Disability Projects for the Employment and Economic Security unit of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. Daniel co-authored a chapter on public benefits for the fourth edition of the Florida Bar’s Florida Guardianship Practice manual and now brings his knowledge of SSI, Medicaid, and other need-based public benefits to bear with regard to special needs settlement protection planning, asset protection planning, and other elder law issues.

Following his graduation from Rutgers State University of New Jersey as a member of the Cap and Skull Honors Society, Daniel went on to obtain a juris doctor degree from Emory University.

He has been involved as a member of the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council, Ruth Rales Pooled Disability Task Force, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. Daniel has been a resident of South Florida for many years and currently lives with his wife, Stacy, and their four children, Zoe, Lila, David and Griffin.
